    一、given用作形容词，意为“特定的”。例如：
    About 250 students are working with us at any given time.大约有250名学生在特定的时间与我们一起工作。
    In a given situation, more than one of these methods may be used.在特定的情况下，这些方法中不止一种可以使用。
    二、given用作介词，意为“由于、鉴于、考虑到”。例如：
    Given the present conditions, I think she’s done rather well.考虑到目前的情况，我认为她干成这样就算不错了。
    但是要注意这种题型，不要和介词的用法搞混。例如：
    Given the chance,I’d do it again.=If I were given the chance, I’d do it again.如果还有机会，我会再干一次的。（在此句中given是过去分词）
